If only one museum had to be chosen, the choice would certainly be on the Louvre. It's the biggest museum in the world and a real temple of art. In the XIIth century, there was a mid-century anchor at the Louvre site. In the second half of the fourteenth century, he became the residence of the French kings and was 700 years old.
In 1793, the Louvre was transformed into a museum, and since 1989 the Napoleon court has stolen Piramid.
The exhibit of modern Louvre is divided into thematic sections: Egyptian, Western, Islamic, Greek, Ethrussian and Roman arts. Total museum area - 210,000 m2. It'll take three days to see all the exponents. The museum exhibits such masterpieces as " Joconda " Leonardo da Vinci, " Pralo Veroneze " Bark in Canne Galilee " and Venus Miloskaya. In the section devoted to painting and sculpture from the Middle Ages until the nineteenth century, you can see the statues of Carl I of the Great and Carl II of the Lassogo, Jean Fock Medal Portrait and the Rococo furniture.
For several years, the Louvre Assembly Hall has an exhibit on the original arts. This section is a continuation of the Museum on the Branley Coast: here you can see 100 masterpieces of African, Asian, American arts and the arts of the peoples of Oceania.
