The Louvre was both a fortress and a royal palace, and he is now one of the world ' s largest museums that receives up to 10 million visitors a year.

Before the war, in 1938, when Germany seized the Court, museums realized that the exponents must be saved. Many valuable works of art were sent to the castle of Shambor, and when the war began, most of the remaining paintings and sculptures were transported there and to other castles. At the beginning of 1945, after the liberation of France, the masters began to return to the Louvre, including Mona Lisa Leonardo da Vinci, Venus Miloskaya, Niko Sufraski.
